The International Community of Unitarians and Universalists (ICUU) is rebuilding a global network of connection, collaboration, and shared spiritual growth. Our Partner Church Matching Program is one of the first major initiatives of this renewed movement. It exists to help congregations around the world find one another, build lasting relationships, and deepen the global expression of Unitarian values.
For decades, partnerships between Unitarian and Universalist communities have created friendships across borders, supported cultural exchange, and strengthened congregations through shared worship, learning, and service. With the dissolution of the former Partner Church Council, many communities were left without a clear pathway to begin or continue these relationships. ICUU is stepping forward to fill that gap with a transparent, accessible, and values-driven matching process.
Our new Partner Church application is designed to honor the diversity of global Unitarian traditions while ensuring that partnerships are rooted in mutual respect, shared purpose, and sustainable engagement. By gathering information about each congregation's history, worship life, communication preferences, and hopes for partnership, we can thoughtfully match communities that will thrive together.
